About the Event

Concurrent with our youth camp, we are excited to be able to host a workshop introducing adults to the theology and process of making iconography. During the evenings from Saturday, June 25 - Thursday,  June 30 a trained iconographer will be present to guide participants through the craft of painting their own icon of Christ. This will take place in the form of three hour classes each night from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. This workshop will also include lectures on the history and theology of icons and a presentation of the book Icons in the Western Church: Toward a More Sacramental Encounter by its author Sr. Jeana Visel, OSB. There will also be an optional opportunity for participants to attend Divine Liturgy in the Ukrainian Catholic Church. The cost for the workshop will pay for the supplies required for the workshop.
